Teen Challenge

Kiwanis Club of Cleburne

The Kiwanis Club of Cleburne focuses on programs that benefit children and nursing homes in Cleburne. Call Donna Bruner at 817-683-7274 for more information.

Masonic Lodge

Cleburne Masonic Lodge was hosting their annual blood drive on behalf of Carter Bloodcare.

Salvation Army

These people were selling food and snacks to benefit the Salvation Army.

FUMC Alvarado

FUMC Van

The First United Methodist Church of Alvarado was selling whacks at a car to help their teens go to youth camp.

Motorcycle Show at Cleburne Springfest

Cleburne ISD Closed

This week is the week that state mandated TAKS tests are to be administered to all Texas public school students in various grade levels. However, all of the testing got put on hold for the time being by threats of possible flu. Before school started his morning officials had already closed Cleburne High School, TEAM school, and Phoenix School. After the other schools were in session and just before testing had begun, there was a request to delay testing. Then the word came that all Cleburne ISD campuses will be closed the remainder of the week. This will allow time for the campuses to be disinfected.

Plans for this week’s Cleburne Spring Fest are tentative at this writing.
