Funeral Services Set for Cleburne Police Officer

The funeral for Officer David Hogan of the Cleburne Police Department is scheduled Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Ft. Worth. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. with the funeral services beginning at 3:00 P.M.

Officer Hogan passed away Friday evening as a result of injuries sustained in a traffic accident in Somervell County earlier that day after his tour of duty.

Officer David Hogan was a member of the Cleburne Police Department for 7 years. He was a beloved member of our close knit organization and will be greatly missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with David’s family in their time of sorrow.

A blood drive is being held in Officer Hogan’s honor on Monday, August 10th. The times and locations for the blood driver are:

8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the Cleburne Municipal Court, 303 W. Henderson and Fire Station 2, 606 S. Nolan River Road.

From 12 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Fire Station 1, 801 E. Henderson and Fire Station 3, 901 W. Kilpatrick.

Please mention that you wish to donate in Officer Hogan’s name.

The Cleburne Police Department has no information concerning the traffic accident which occurred in Somervell County and is being investigated by the Texas Department of Public Safety. For details on the accident, please contact Department of Public Safety Trooper Dub Gillam 817-579-3337.

Cleburne expanding blood drive to honor police officer

CLEBURNE, Tx. – Cleburne and Carter BloodCare is expanding its blood drive to honor Cleburne police officer David Hogan.

Mobile Carter BloodCare units will be at all three city fire stations Monday. They will all take donations from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The fire stations locations are at 801 E. Henderson St. 901 W. Kilpatrick and 606 S. Nolan River Road. Donations will be accepted on behalf of Officer Hogan at other Carter BloodCare centers, but donors must inform Carter staff the donation is for the Hogan account.

Officer Hogan was injured Friday morning in a motor vehicle accident in Somvervell County and died last night at Texas Health Resources Harris in Fort Worth. The blood drive for Officer Hogan is a memorial for the . For details on the accident, please contact Department of Public Safety Trooper Dub Gillam 817-579-3337.
