If you weren’t at the Nolan River Mall to day you missed the opportunity to see some of the best businesses in the area. It was great to see all the businesses putting on their best show for the public. All this week we will be posting pictures from today’s event.

Pecan Plantation Garden Tour

It’s spring, all the plants are green and the flowers are blooming. It is the season for gardening. This month there will be a garden tour at Pecan Plantation in Granbury. The event will be co hosted by Green Thumb Garden Club and Ladybugs Garden Club. This year’s tour will be the first time one at Pecan Plantation that will be open to the public and is a major fund raiser that supports many education programs in the area. Visitors will be treated to a tour of seven beautiful and unique gardens and may possibly see some dear and fawns. The event will be open to the public Saturday, May 30 8-4 and Sunday, 9-2. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at www.pecanplantationgardentour.com. Barbara Goodwin-Lantz and Lucy Reed are two of the main workers in this endeavor and they say to wear good walking shoes and bring your camera and be ready for some spectacular views of the gardens.

Plaza Theatre Presents Cash on Delivery

Mr. Aaron Siler and the Plaza Theatre Company present Cash on Delivery. According to Mr. Siler:

We are as excited as punch for Cash on Delivery opening May 1st. It is a british comedy about a man who has been bilking the government by claiming benefits for multiple fictitious persons – all who supposedly live in his home. When he decides to go straight and kill off the made-up persons, only then does the government investigate. Witness the amazing amount of tight spots the con artist escapes from with the help of his upstairs neighbor and his mysterious Uncle George. A comic farce sure to split sides with laughter.

The show will be directed by Danielle Beacham. You may have remembered her as June Sanders ”The sign language lady” in Smoke on the Mountain or other memorable Plaza performances. Plenty of tickets for Friday and Saturday night! Call the box office at 817-202-0600 to make your reservations now.

Grandview Antique Tractor & Machinery Club

Grandview Antique Tractor & Machinery Club was formed in January 2009 to promote the collection, restoration, preservation, and exhibition of antique tractors and machinery and to promote the fellowship of those with common interests.

We meet once a month on the last Thursday of the month, with the exception of December. Prior to the meeting we have a pot luck.

Annual membership dues are $20 for an Individual Membership and $30 for a Family Member.

We have an annual show and enjoy participating in plow days, trail rides, parades, etc.
