On Sunday, May 5, 2009 my husband and I went to the Chisholm Trail Outdoor Museum in Cleburne. While we were out walking we spotted what at first appeared to be some swans but as we got closer we realized these were pelicans. We believe them to be American White Pelicans who are migrating back North. We thought they were just an awesome sight. I have attached some pictures of the pelicans. I really don’t know how unusual the sighting is but I have never seen so many at one time and I am not really sure if I have ever seen any. I hope you enjoy the pictures and feel free to share with others.
